The Ultimate Recap of Mind Your Business 6
![]()
It’s hard to put MYB6 into words without smiling. What we've created isn't just another business event—it was a vibe, an experience, and for many of us, a much-needed reset wrapped in connection, creativity, and a whole lot of fun.
From the moment guests arrived, it felt different. And that feeling never let up.
The Venue
Let’s start with the obvious: Margaritaville delivered. The second you walked in, something shifted. Maybe it was the subtle beachy scent in the air, or the way the space instantly made you feel like you were on vacation instead of in the middle of Kansas. Either way, it worked.
The pool was perfect for networking, with in-water tables and seating that lent itself to deep conversations.
People weren’t just attending—they were immersed. The resort-style setting gave everyone permission to relax, open up, and actually enjoy themselves. And that matters more than we sometimes realize. When people feel good, they show up differently. Conversations flow easier. Ideas come quicker. Connections go deeper.
We heard it again and again: “This doesn’t feel like a typical event,” and that's exactly the point.
The Little Details That Made a Big Impact
What really elevated MYB6 was the attention to detail. From the welcome leis handed out at check-in to the thoughtfully curated decor and experiences throughout the event, everything was intentional. Nothing felt random or thrown together. And those little touches? They made people feel seen. The theme wasn’t just something we mentioned—it was something you could feel in every moment. It created a sense of playfulness, helped people let their guard down, and gave everyone something shared to bond over right away. It turns out, a simple lei can go a long way.
Real Connections, Not Just Conversations
Networking can sometimes feel forced. We’ve all been to those events where it’s all handshakes, small talk, and business cards that never get revisited. But MYB6 was different. Yes, there were structured opportunities to connect—but some of the best moments happened organically. Poolside chats turned into collaborations. Casual conversations turned into genuine friendships. By blending professional growth with a relaxed, social environment, we created space for people to connect as humans first, and professionals second. And that’s where the magic happens.
The Moments We’ll Be Talking About for a While
There were so many standout moments, but a few definitely rose to the top. The Big Kuhuna Luau Party with a limbo contest was the perfect icebreaker, which was no surprise. The opening pool party is always a favorite among attendees. And then there was the outdoor movie night. A total shift in pace, in the best way. Cozy, relaxed, and just the right amount of nostalgic. It gave everyone a chance to slow down, reflect, and just be. Trivia was hard (who knew there was so much to know about Jimmy Buffett), but the duling piano's were entertaining and made for fun sing-alongs with friends. The pink flamingo pool party? Iconic. People showed up. They committed to the theme. And the energy was unmatched. You could feel the joy, the laughter, the creativity—it was everything we hoped it would be and more. Those moments—the fun, the unexpected, the shared experiences—are what people carry with them long after the event ends.
Intimate by Design (and Why That Mattered)
This year, we had a waitlist. And while that’s always a tough reality, it also meant something really special for the people who were there. The size of MYB6 allowed for deeper conversations. More meaningful interactions. Less noise, more connection. It never felt overwhelming. It felt intentional. As we think about what’s next, growth is definitely on the table—but not at the expense of what made this year so impactful. The goal isn’t just bigger. It’s better.
Until Next Time
More than anything, MYB6 reminded us why we do this. It’s about bringing the right people together. Creating space for ideas, for growth, for laughter. Building something that lasts beyond a single event. And if this year was any indication, we’re just getting started. If you were there, thank you for making it what it was. If you missed it—don’t worry. We’re already working on what’s next.
