The Power of Heartlink

There are thousands of products in our industry. It can be overwhelming. Fear not my friends, today we are going to share a tip with you to harness the power of our online website to laser focus your product offerings. Grab some paper, pen, and your favorite beverage, and let’s dive in!

If you are reading this, you have made it to our website. Congratulations, your first step is complete. Take a moment and pat yourself on the back. No really, we’ll wait.  To start this tour, click the home button. If you clicked the home button, welcome back. If you put that in your notes, you are a genius and move directly to the head of the class.

On the home screen, you will notice everything at your fingertips. You can call us, view hours, log into your account (if you don’t have one we will re-visit this later), view products, find resources and events, read our blog (you have mastered this skill), request a catalog, find out more about our company, and register for an account if you do not currently have one. Most everything on our site is clickable so if you see something interesting go ahead and click it. This also includes links at the bottom to things like Salon Support (for technical assistance), Tan Parts (for you guessed it, parts), and UsedBed.com (for equipment but we are betting you knew that).

Easy so far? We knew you could do it. We recommend exploring each section to become familiar with it. You never know what you might find. Now that the housekeeping is out of the way we are ready to knock your socks off. Here is where the fun begins.

Do you see the search bar in the top middle portion of the screen? Give it a click and type in the word Pineapple, then click on the magnifying glass. What did you get? If you were successful you will see an array of products that either contain pineapple, smell like pineapple, or have pineapple in the name. We’re not just showing off pineapple here folks, type in coconut, or anything else that strikes your fancy. You now have access to linking, finding, and grouping products together in your salon. Why is that important? Let us elaborate, if you go to buy perfume the person behind the counter will also show you a lotion, body mist, body wash, air freshener, and any other item that matches. When you go to the Beauty Salon, do they not show you conditioner with your shampoo, a hairspray with a root booster? Yes, this generates additional sales, but it also helps the investment you the buyer is making. Your customers are investing their time and money with you, you owe it to them to help protect, maintain, and accessorize their results.

So, the next time you bring in a new item, or reorder an existing product, give a search. Is there something you are missing?
